NoadBrowser Help
This page explains the NoadBrowser-specific features that behave a little differently from a normal browser.
Reader Mode
Reader Mode strips away obvious page clutter and rebuilds the article into a simpler local page with readable typography.
- Use
ToolsthenReader Modeon a page you want to read. - If NoadBrowser cannot find readable content, it shows a message instead of changing the page.
- Relative links still work because the reader page keeps the source page as its base URL.
Cleanup Control
NoadBrowser normally hides large overlays, dimmers, and other page interruptions. Some sites need the opposite behavior, especially when a menu or modal is broken by cleanup.
Cleanup is heuristic-based, so it tries to catch page interruptions that are still left behind after uBlock Origin has done its part.
Easy explanation: Page cleanup hides interruptions on the page you are already viewing. Block popups stops sites from opening extra windows or tabs you did not ask for.
- Use
ToolsthenDisable Cleanup for This Tab, or click the top-right cleanup badge, to toggle cleanup for the current tab only. - A small top-right badge and status indicator show whether cleanup is on or off for that tab.
- The tab reloads so the page can come back without cleanup applied.
uBlock Origin
uBlock Origin helps block ads and other unwanted page content so pages stay cleaner and less distracting.
- Click the small
uBObadge near the top-right corner to open the uBlock Origin popup in its own browser window. - Use the
uBlock Originmenu thenEnable uBlock Originto temporarily turn uBlock Origin on or off. - Use the
uBlock Originmenu thenOpen Dashboardto open uBlock Origin's own settings and filter pages. - Use the
uBlock Originmenu thenDiagnosticsto see whetheruBlock Originis enabled. - The
uBObadge and status bar show whether uBlock Origin is on, off, or missing.
This is a profile-wide switch because WebView2 extensions are shared across tabs that use the same browser data folder.
